THANK YOU!
From our sainted USDAA trial chair Roe:
We did it! The TRACS USDAA trial is a wrap. I must admit that I LOVE this trial! It’s small, the folks who enter have an incredible work ethic and the vibe is generally about the love of the sport and fun/competition with your dog. Our judge, Leslie Bickel, certainly contributed to this.
There are sooo many stand outs in this trial, and I know I will forget to mention some. Please know that every reset bar is appreciated. I will be acknowledging the non-Tracs members separately.
+ Karey Krauter, trial secretary, always goes beyond the job description. The practice ring she organized was an ENORMOUS success and was enjoyed by both USDAA and ISC. Thank you for coming early to set rings.
+ Sandy Zajkowski, Camping Czar, someone else who goes above and beyond the job description. Thank you for all the things no one saw but me.
+ Pat White, Ring Crew Chief, who Scribed and Timed also. Queen of multitasking. Thank you.
+ Kathi Kikuyama, Chief Course Builder. As the Trial Chair, you saved me!!! Can’t thank you enough for taking on this role and for your cheerful outlook. You are always the trainer…. I learned a lot!
+ Sharon Murphy, lunch for ISC and USDAA. Girl, you hit it out of the park!! I had so many positive comments about the lunch and the decorations. Thank you for saying yes.
+ Jim Aitken, Equipment Manager (red trailer) who played hurt this weekend! No one realizes the work involved with this role. We appreciate you, Jim.
+ Jan Davis, white trailer Manager, your organizational skills are incredible and your sense of commitment unparalleled. It’s always a joy to see you.
+ Channan Frosty, ISC Chair and her committee (Briana!). Thank you for the collaboration! We will only get better at this!
+ Katy Robertson takes the CROWN . She worked full time (doing everything) both days and refused certs. She said she was supporting her club. I may be in big trouble for calling her out, but I owe her a huge thank you for letting me “lean on her” and will gladly suffer the consequences.
+ Ginger McMullen only had a couple of runs at the end of each day but showed up at start time and worked every course she didn’t run. Thank you.

From our sainted AKC/ISC trial chair Channan:
The second (not exactly annual) TRACS AKC ISC Red Solo Cup is over. What a weekend!
We dealt with some sprinkles on Saturday and what felt like a hurricane on Sunday, but we had a great time!
+ First off, huge thanks to our Trial Secretary, Briana Freshner, who handled every detail like a pro, even though it was her FIRST TIME being a trial secretary. She is so great to work with!
+ I was impressed that our full time scribe, Sarah Espinoza-Sokal, only had eyes for our judge, Dan, to make sure she accurately recorded his calls. I admit that when I scribe, I watch the runs as much as the judge.
+ Our Crew Chief Laura Hartwick kept everything running like clockwork, and our Chief Course Builders, Sarah Anger and Ashley Muse, worked tirelessly to make sure every course was ready, safe, and correctly set. You ladies crushed it!
+ Sandy Z, our RV Czar, ensured everyone got their perfect RV spot, and Sharon Murphy made sure we were all fed and happy.
+ Big thanks to Rosalie Ball and Karey Krauter from the USDAA side; it was such a pleasure to coordinate with you and your crew!
+ And of course, our judges! We had amazing courses from Jan Egil Eide, and our on-site judge, Dan Butcher, kept everything running smoothly with a great attitude and an awesome sense of humor.
+ Now, about our competitors… I was discouraged on Friday when there were only three of us (Linda Greene and Mary, who I refer to as Saint Mary since she wasn’t even entered in the trial!) doing the entire setup. I was sure this was going to be the last trial I chaired. But all of you came through to help out where you could over the weekend. I especially appreciate the help during tear down and trailer loading. Thank you!
+ And about your runs. You were all fantastic. Great runs, great attitudes, so celebratory with your dogs, and so much positive energy. Thank you for coming!
