Emergency Evacuation Plan
Just imagine that a police officer knocks at your door telling you that you have 45 minutes to evacuate, or the radio broadcasts to take immediate cover from a tornado, hurricane, hazardous spill, or terrorist attack.  Whatever the reason, have you considered the health and safety of your pets?  Planning for your pets should take the same general guidelines as planning for your family.
You are much more likely to be affected by an evacuation order due to a hazardous material spill from a vehicle on a road near you or a passing train, than you are from a chemical or biological attack.  The preparation for disaster, whether by nature or terrorism is much the same.
